DESCRIPTION:

The model for 96-132V has a load capacity of 3.3kW and is suitable for use in conjunction with the FTE WEG 43 Powertrain and DC-DC CONVERTER 110V - 500W.

The on-board charger (OBC) is responsible for converting the alternating current from the charging stations into direct current for the traction batteries.

The OBC controls the voltage and electrical current so that recharging occurs safely, thus guaranteeing the battery's useful life. It is also responsible for communication between the vehicle battery (BMS) and the charging station, releasing or blocking it in cases of failure.

The equipment has protection with automatic recovery for overheating, overvoltage, undervoltage, short circuit, over current, among others. In addition to having operational feedback through lamps indicating status and type of failure, facilitating the installation and diagnosis process.

    Common questions:

  • How does the recharge process work?

      • When connecting the charging plug, the charging station initiates communication with the vehicle battery (BMS) and also informs the on-board charger (OBC) how much it can start charging. This entire protocol and communication is managed by the VCU, thus ensuring safety for the vehicle components and the user.

  • How long will it take to recharge my vehicle with the On-Board Charger?

      • Chargers that operate on AC (alternating current) have a charge considered slow (up to 22kW). Considering a 3.3 kW onboard charger and a 26 kWh battery, a full charge would take around 8 hours.
